Cal Expo

The California State Fair is held every year at Cal Expo in Sacramento. The 18-day event provides a wealth of entertainment - where else can you eat alligator on a stick, watch a pig race and listen to live bands?

Music Circus — 5 Jul - 28 Aug 2008 (annual)

Wells Fargo Pavilion

Sacramento's Music Circus at the Wells Fargo Pavilion combines the informality of the circus, an arena layout and musical theatre performances for the whole family.

Chalk It Up — 30 Aug - 1 Sep 2008 (annual)

Fremont Park

Each Labor Day weekend Sacramento's Fremont Park is transformed into a giant canvas that encourages professional and wannabe artists to explore their creativity with chalk. The event features over 200 sidewalk paintings, live music, entertainers and children's activities and is all in aid of charity.

Raging Waters — 10 May - 21 Sep 2008 (annual)

Raging Waters

Raging Waters water park features more than 25 rides to ensure an exciting (and wet) day out. Daredevils should head to Cannonball Falls, Hurricane, Cliffhanger Speed Slides, Breaker Beach Wave Pool or the Shark Attack Waterslide complex.
